Marathon Kick Off & Elementary ALS Challenge...

The elementary staff was challenged by our new principal, Mr. Townsend, to take the ALS Ice Bucket challenge and make a donation.  Here is part of the staff... we had to do this in two different parts to get everyone under the "bucket".  WES challenged Wellsville Middle School Staff. HUGE thank you to Clayton Neel and his wife, Heather for bringing in the fire hose and setting it all up.  Another HUGE thank you to Ryan Williams for running the bucket.  Somehow, I don't think he minded too much!

The children all participated in our annual marathon kick off.  We ran/walked the first mile together and now it is up to them if they choose to participate.  Thank you to Peggy Inglehart and the Wellness Committee for getting this organized!

Lots Going On!

During the first few weeks of school, we have accomplished much, adjusted A LOT, and compromised some.   Here are a few pics of centers, work, play and an all around good day!

Just A Warm, Fuzzy Feeling...

I just have to write a bit about how proud I am to be a part of the USD 289 staff, and I may be overstepping a bit, but also member of the Wellsville community.  I do not live in Wellsville, but, I still consider it home.  It has helped me raise my two children, shown me affection when I needed it and provided me the BASE I consider home!  I have some pics to post tomorrow (they are on my school computer) that will show you a few of the fun things that we have done since school started, and some of the little people I already love, along with a NEW leader who has a heart of gold and honestly I feel so proud of!  (Yes, I know I sound like a mom - old enough to be his!)  And there is that staff....ALL of those co-workers that are my friends, that I consider family.  I am so thrilled to be associated with you and want you to know that I think you are THE BEST!

It's All Good!

Pete The Cat has entered the room in a BIG way this year.  He will make several appearances with little "feel good" messages and lots of great music!  We used our school shoes for our first art project!  The got to pick their favorite color and they practiced their scissor skills and used glue sticks for these adorable tennis shoes!

It Is ALMOST Time!

I am very excited!  School is right around the corner and I can't wait to get started with the kids!  The room is set up and we are learning all sorts of things in our in-service meetings but it is missing something, the children!  Hope to see all of you soon, at Meet The Teacher Night on August 12th from 6:30-7:00 p.m.
